Topical Studies: Salvation

Salvation: What must one do to be saved?

The steps to salvation are:

  1. Hear the word of God (Rom. 10:9-17);
  2. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God (Mark 16:16; John 3:16, 8:24; Acts 16:31; Rom. 1: 16-17, 10:9-10; Heb. 10:39);
  3. Confess that Jesus is your Savior (Matt. 10:32-33; Rom. 10:9-17);
  4. Repent of your sins (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:37-38; Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9);
  5. Be baptized for the remission of your sins; and
  6. Continue to obey the word of God (Acts 8:15-22; Hebrews 5:9).

This study also demonstrates how the Bible answers the following questions: What is salvation? What does it mean to become saved or "born again"? How does someone get to Heaven?
